The airport’s renewed trust in us is a testament to our ability to engineer and manage complex BHS projects in operational environments. Over the years, we have received numerous mandates from Aéroports de Montréal to improve, upgrade or expand the baggage handling systems (BHS) at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport where, on a busy day, over 35,000 bags pass through its various handling systems. Our know-how in baggage handling systems helps keep passengers, bags and aircrafts flowing through one of Canada’s busiest airports. This new layout also includes a VIP lounge, commercial space and operational support areas, as well as a zone linked to the delivery and waste management bays. The expansion of 22,064 m 2 over four levels features eight boarding halls with contact barriers and six boarding gates, two of which allow access to aircraft on two floors. Specifically, our mandate was to complete the construction of the level 1 bus platforms, which allows for the eventual boarding and disembarking by bus from two platforms in the international jetty. According to IATA standards, this surface area increase will meet growing demand from the international sector, while maintaining the customer service level. The project involved expanding the international jetty to add six new barriers. Consulting, advisory and environmental services. ![]()
